Peter B On Interrupt considerably stepped up their game since Cosmic Drift! The themes from the first two tracks fit perfectly into the massive soundscapes that pay tribute to the artist's debut album, and adds a new level of tension. Still, On Interrupt manages to keep their slow, dense, harmony-driven atmospheric sound as the main aspect and strongpoint. I'm in dire need of a genre descriptor for this music, since all I can come up with is "Space-Odyssey-Esque". :D Favorite track: Return to Spacetime Six.

Portland, Oregon-based On Interrupt’s music can best be described as dark synthwave with a 70’s and 80’s cinematic bent, influenced heavily by films such as Beyond the Black Rainbow, Shogun Assassin, Tron: Legacy, 2001: A Space Odyssey, The Beyond, and Suspiria.

In 2016, On Interrupt released ‘Cosmic Drift’, a first attempt at compiling a cohesive body of work under the theme of space and time travel. Now two years later, ‘Lightlike’ continues that journey.

A return to the infinite strangeness.
